A subscription provides full access to the principal PRC research databases.
Dictionary of Perspective
Search the digital Dictionary of Perspective, a comprehensive specialist reference work covering the terminology, concepts, methods, types and forms of perspective.
It provides a structured vocabulary for studying perspective across art, science, geometry, optics, vision, photography, architecture, computing and many other disciplines.
Bibliography of Perspective
Search the Bibliography of Perspective, bringing together a large body of bibliographical information relating to perspective and its many associated subjects.
It is designed to help researchers locate authors, publications, subjects and historical sources across the field.
Library of Perspective
Subscribers have access to the digital Library of Perspective and its growing collections.
Unlike a conventional catalogue search, the PRC Library can search the full contents of publications — not just titles or metadata.
Multiple publications can also be selected and searched together, allowing a researcher to investigate a subject across several books or documents at once.
Kim H. Veltman Archive
Subscribers receive access to the Kim H. Veltman Archive, containing approximately 800 documents.
The archive brings together a substantial body of Veltman’s research and writings covering perspective, Leonardo da Vinci, visual culture, new media, knowledge systems and related areas.
The material can be explored as part of PRC’s digital research environment rather than simply as a list of document titles.
Leonardo da Vinci Studies 2 and 3
One of the most distinctive resources included with a PRC subscription is access to Kim H. Veltman’s Leonardo da Vinci Studies 2 and 3 manuscripts.
Together they comprise approximately 3,000 pages in 10 volumes.
These manuscripts represent an extensive body of Leonardo scholarship and are not available anywhere else in the world.
They provide a major resource for researchers interested in Leonardo da Vinci, perspective, Renaissance art and science, visual knowledge and the history of ideas.
Classic Perspective Titles
Subscribers also receive access to the Classic Perspective Titles collection.
This currently contains 191 publications, bringing together important historical works concerned with perspective and related subjects.
The collection provides direct access to historical source material covering areas including perspective theory, drawing, geometry, optics, art and architecture.
